How to Search Campus Buildings and Places with Navgic
Looking for a lecture hall, dining hall, or library? Navgic’s Explore tab lists places around campus with filters for facilities, food, events, and more.
Step 1: Open Explore
From the bottom navigation, tap Explore. Category chips appear at the top.

Step 2: Filter by Facilities
Tap Facilities to list academic buildings and campus facilities. Results update immediately.

Step 3: Browse on desktop
On a laptop, Explore uses the wider layout for quicker scanning.

Step 4: Find dining (NYU example)
At NYU, the Food filter highlights dining halls and eateries near Washington Square.

Map search vs Explore
- Explore is best for discovering places by category (food, facilities, events).
- The Map tab is best for transit, stops, and spatial context. Tap stops for arrivals or directions where available.
